Visit from bio innovation park Rheinland e.V.
Today, we hosted the bio innovation park Rheinland e.V., a regional network dedicated to promoting the bioeconomy and green technologies. We began the visit with a brief greeting from the association's managing director and an introduction of our company by managing director Peter Greven which was followed by a plant tour.
Afterwards, our R&D manager, Dr. Wilhelm Huber, presented the HydroPhiber project which we are working on in collaboration with the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. The project's goal, which is nearing completion, is to produce innovative, sustainable insulation boards from the plant Miscanthus, which are hydrophobized using our products.
To conclude, Prof. Dr. Stefanie Meilinger from IZNE (Institute for Sustainable Development) introduced two projects: reTURN, which focuses on recycling organic waste and converting CO₂ into fuels, and the UNEP/LCI Biogenic Carbon Project, which explores the significance of biogenic carbon in the context of sustainability.
We were pleased to host this times bio innovation park Rheinland meeting!
