Update Sustainability Reporting

The EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requires companies to report on their sustainability activities. The requirements are detailed and extensive, encompassing a variety of specific data points that necessitate in-depth and resource-intensive reporting.

The omnibus regulations and the prospect of no longer falling under the scope of these requirements when the latest proposals from the EU Commission are implemented change our situation. We have the opportunity to shift our focus from mere reporting to the actual implementation of sustainability measures. We are fully committed to a sustainable future and take our responsibilities as a company seriously.

We will likely no longer be obligated to fulfill all reporting requirements in detail. However, we do not see this as an opportunity to lessen our responsibility. On the contrary: We have already identified essential sustainability issues and are actively working on their implementation, including collaboration with our suppliers throughout the supply chain.

A central element of our strategy is climate protection. With our climate protection strategy and the measures already initiated, we are taking clear steps to sustainably reduce our CO₂ emissions and contribute to global climate goals.

Moreover, our employees are a crucial pillar of our sustainability commitment. Their ideas, engagement, and responsibility across all areas of the company significantly contribute to achieving our sustainability goals in practice. We create a work environment characterized by collaboration, innovation, and trust, and we invest in the development of our employees to prepare them for the challenges of the future.

For us, sustainable transformation is not just on paper - it consists of specific actions and continuous improvement. We remain transparent, set clear goals in all ESG areas, and act in accordance with our values, even if we are exempt from the new reporting obligation.
