Start-up of new production line for dust-free grades
As a leading manufacturer of oleochemical additives with four international sites we put a new, state-of-the-art production line for dust-free stearates into operation at our site in Venlo (NL) in February 2020.
Due to the increasing demand for top-quality vegetable and in addition dust-free stearates that fulfil the high-quality demands and all other requirements of the pharmaceutical, food, feed and cosmetics industry, we invested in a new production line at our site in Venlo.
Our granules production line is based on state-of-the-art technology and enables us to vary the grain structure depending on our customers’ needs. Therefore, a lot of different product variations are possible. The new line will be used to produce customer specific dust-free magnesium, calcium, zinc, sodium and potassium stearates.
The main demand for those products is currently growing in the food and feed industry. Our new production line for dust-free stearates allows us to fulfil these customer requirements and to be ahead of the market trend. In addition, it brought a further significant increase in capacity at the Venlo site.
For many years, the Venlo site has been consistently focused on the requirements of the above mentioned industries: all products are produced under GMP conditions and according to HACCP standards, are Kosher and Halal certified, fulfil all major pharmacopeias (e.g. Ph.Eur, USP/NF, BP, JP, CP, DAB), the requirements of FDA for the direct food contact (GRAS) and are conform with the latest Food Chemical Codex (FCC). In addition, a management system for food safety was introduced and certified with FSSC 22000 (ISO 22000) certification. Furthermore we successfully completed the GMP+ B2 (2010) certification for the feed industry in 2013.
Also sustainability and responsible use of natural resources have always been fundamental aspects of our company philosophy – therefore all products are based on natural, renewable raw materials. Moreover, Peter Greven supports the sustainable production of palm oil and was the first producer of metallic soaps to receive the RSPO SCCS certificate that officially approves the production and sales of vegetable based stearates and dispersions with RSPO certified fatty acid.
