New Central Chimney at Bad Münstereifel Site
The site in Bad Münstereifel has been the headquarters of our company for more than 100 years. Throughout this time, many investments have been made to expand and modernize production, so that we have developed into one of the largest regional companies.
Even beyond production technologies, site optimization is always necessary, for example to adapt to new environmental standards or to comply with legal regulations. One such optimization was on the agenda for us at the end of January: The construction of the new central chimney.
In order to further improve the odor situation in the vicinity of the site and to continue to comply with emission control requirements in the future, a central chimney of 60 meters height was set up on the company premises. Previously, the various production facilities each had their own chimneys. With the commissioning of the new central chimney, the entire exhaust air will be brought together there and discharged far above the existing buildings. It is therefore another part of the comprehensive measures to minimize odor emissions in the vicinity of the site that have been implemented over the past 20 years.
The investment in the new central chimney opens up options for the further development of production and thus paves the way for the long-term preservation of the site.
